We will depart Cusco at 8:30 a.m. and travel southeast for 5 hours to the Huallpachaca bridge to enjoy a stunning at more than 2,000 meters above sea level. After taking lunch here, we will receive instruction on how to safely use the rafting equipment, navigate rapids, and have fun on the river. This includes a small rescue practice on the river. After that, we will float the river for about 1.5 hours and then stop for the night on the banks.
After breakfast, we will break camp and continue floating the river. Rapids will include Class III and IV intensity. The only stops for the day will be for portages and lunch. We will continue sailing until around 4:30 p.m., at which time we will stop at camp.
After breakfast, we will make the final leg of our rafting journey, running rapids Class III and IV. Our ultimate destination will be Quinta Primavera near a bridge in Kunyak—about 5 hours from where we begin that day. We will enjoy lunch and then return to Cusco.
